It’s November, and National Novel Writing Month is upon us! Each November, writers all around the world pick up their pens and commit to writing 50,000 words in one month. This averages into just about 2,000 words today. If you’re an aspiring novelist who’s never quite had the time to get your writing onto the page, participate in NaNoWriMo this month. This challenge is time consuming, difficult, and sometimes exhausting — but for anyone who has “Write a Novel” on their bucket list, it’s well worth it. You can find a whole community of writers undertaking this challenge on the official NaNoWriMo website, along with pep talks from famous authors and a tool to help you track your progress. The pep talks from famous authors are meant to help you keep your motivation up when the writing gets difficult. One of our favorite pep talks comes from the writer Brian Jacques.
